For patients who are tired of traditional exercise or rehabilitation programs, Wellington Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine is proud to introduce new, innovative Pilates and Dance Medicine Programs. Whether patients are transitioning from an injury and physical therapy or just interested in getting in better shape, the Wellington Programs offer a model that presents the added value of a licensed healthcare professional at a cost structure competitive with other pilates programs.
Both Programs incorporate pilates techniques into wellness, injury, and post-operative rehabilitation of all joint and musculoskeletal conditions. Specialized exercises are used to enhance muscle flexibility, increase strength, and improve balance, joint motion, spinal alignment and core strength. Pilates is also a great form of cardiovascular exercise.
Under the Leadership of Dr. Sandra Eisele, Jacqui Haas, ATC, is the Director for Wellington Pilates and the Wellington Dance Medicine Program. Jacqui is a Pilates trained, Licensed Athletic Trainer who is often called upon to be a presenter at many National and International meetings. She is considered one of the leading experts in pilates and dance related care.
Wellington Pilates is a program that incorporates pilates trained and licensed healthcare professionals to evaluate, design, develop and administrate an individualized, evidence based program for each person. Through a very detailed evaluation of strength, flexibility, biomechanics and basic fitness levels on the first visit, Wellington healthcare professionals can progress people towards their goals safely and effectively.
The Wellington Dance Medicine Program specializes in the care of dancers as well as dance-related activities, from injury prevention and pre-pointe evaluation, to injury diagnoses and management, to rehabilitation and return to activity. With a heavy dose of pilates based exercise, our team of Dance Trained Healthcare professionals can bring patients back to activity with a superior outcome.
